Caim ports the iOS 14 pin messages feature to iOS 13.
It's finally here, the tweak that I've been working on day in and day out with passion. One of the best features of iOS 14 is in my opinion is the message pining feature. iOS 14 is exciting, but after about two days on the beta, you'll miss your jailbreak again. That is why I made Caim, to be able to enjoy it, while still being jailbroken.
Caim is built after iOS 14's clean design, not just the looks, but also the feeling. My aim with this tweak is to get it as close to iOS 14 as possible and make your friends wonder how you got the pin feature on iOS 13.
One difference is that you can pin how many conversations that you want compared to iOS 14 which only lets you pin 9 conversations.
I will continue to update this package to tweak small things here and there to get it closer and closer to iOS 14.
Some nice touches:
Press and hold on a conversation to get a 3d/haptic touch menu where you can preview the pinned conversation or choose to unpin or edit the pinned conversations.
Last unread message preview on a pinned conversation, just like on iOS 14.
How does it work?
There's two ways to pin a conversation, 1st one is to drag on the conversation and press pin, 2nd one is to tap the tree dots in the top right corner and then tap on pin. You can in remove pined conversation in this mode as well as pin new conversations.
Caim has been extensively tested (hence the release delay) to work on both iPads and iPhones. It also works in lanscape mode, and different layouts in the messages application has been accounted for.
It has only been tested for iOS 13.
It supports multiple languages as well!
Thanks to @acarbone_0314 for the banner picture and being very helpful with testing, also thanks to @QuixThe2nd for testing the tweak and being helpful. Both these guys are really cool dudes.
Also thanks to all my patreons!
If you have any feature requests or find any bugs open an issue on GitHub. For updates on Caim or other projects I'm working on, follow me on Twitter @itsnicho1as. I take all bug reports and ideas seriously and respond to everyone that messages me!
The unread message bobble is now adaptive to dark and light mode. It's also a bit transparent and blurry for a much nicer look.
A lot of small fixes were made in this version to increase overall performance.
Added a new option to choose between vertical (standard) and horizontal (new) style. The horizontal style keeps all pins on one row and let's you scroll through them. Configurable in settings.
Fixed a bug introduced in the last version that caused messages to crash when tapping the back button.
Finally fixed a weird conflict with a tweak called Titan that caused the info/call buttons to not appear while being inside a pinned conversation.
Reduces the chance of an unusual bug that could happen randomly. The bug only leaves the top row of pins visible until scrolling in the table view. I've not been able to reproduce this bug so I can't confirm that it's fully fixed. If you know a way to reproduce it, please contact me on Twitter @itsnicho1as.
